Welcome to our community!
Welcome
to the La Entrada at Rancho Viejo Community Association website. La
Entrada is the newest phase of development at Rancho Viejo; an 11,000 - acre
master planned, mixed use community in Santa Fe County. We are just south
of the city of Santa Fe and we are surrounded by the
Sangre-de-Cristo, Jemez and Ortiz mountain ranges which provide
breathtaking vistas and magnificent sunrises and sunsets. We offer 15
miles of trails that meander throughout the community with more to
be added as La Entrada continues to develop. Rancho
Viejo has beautiful open spaces and parks, including a community garden, a
RV storage area and the Ranchland Utilities water treatment plant that makes
gray water for irrigation.
The Santa Fe Community College, the IAIA (Institute of American Indian Arts), the Amy Biehl Community School (elementary), the Santo Nino Regional Catholic School and the Academy of Technology and the Classics (charter school) are nearby our community. Our north border is the New Mexico Land Conservancy, which offers even more open space to roam and enjoy.
The community of La Entrada continues to grow with new construction going on to our west and south. Our HOA (Home Owners Association) meets every other month. We also have a Communication Committee and a Design Review Committee. Our newsletter, La Entrada News is published quarterly. See the 3 most recenteditions in the links below.
La Entrada at Rancho Viejo has a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1181073342622918
Our community, over the
years, has lent its support to a variety of non-profit events and
organizations, such as the Neighbor to Neighbor Fund Drive (The Food Depot),
Santa Fe Animal Shelter, Amy Biehl Community School, Santa Fe Raptor Center,
Youth Shelter Street Outreach Program, Firewise and many others. The Communication Committee organizes many of
these events, as well as community picnics and holiday parties.
Land Acknowledgement: La Entrada
at Rancho Viejo recognizes and acknowledges that it is located on the
traditional and ancestral homelands of the Tewa People. Specifically,
acknowledging that the land as O’gah’poh geh Owingeh (White Shell Water Place)
is a place of significance for the Northern and Southern Tewa.
In addition, while not part of the HOA, there is the Rancho Viejo Ladies Group, which has a variety of wonderful activities. It is a great way to meet people in our neighborhood!
